Terrier Dogs have attitude!
The Terrier Dogs are feisty, energetic dogs whose sizes range from the fairly small West Highland White Terrier, to the large Airedale Terrier. Terrier dogs have a very distinctive personality, with a very "in your face" attitude. Most terrier dogs show very little tolerance for other animals, including other dogs.
They were primarily bred to hunt and kill vermin.
Due to their aggressive attitude and protective instincts, terrier dogs make very good guard dogs for the home, despite their often small size.
Because they were developed to hunt and kill vermin, terrier dogs are determined, clever and brave.
Some breeds of terrier dogs include the Airedale Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Australian Terrier, Bedlington Terrier, Bull Terrier, Fox Terrier, Lakeland Terrier, Rat Terrier, Russell Terrier, Scottish Terrier and the Staffordshire Terrier, to name just a few.
